Le Champ du Feu: Fresh Air guaranteed

In winter, the Champ du Feu becomes the unmissable destination for snow sports enthusiasts and nature lovers in the Bas-Rhin. Skiing, snowshoeing, and snow-covered landscapes fill days spent in the great outdoors.

The Champ du Feu, a guaranteed breath of fresh air

Whether you enjoy hiking, cycling, cross-country or downhill skiing, or any other outdoor activity, one destination stands out: the Champ du Feu.

The highest point in the Bas-Rhin, located in the Ban de la Roche area, the Champ du Feu reaches an altitude of 1,099 metres. It is also the only alpine ski resort in the department. Easily accessible, it lies 63 km from Strasbourg, 35 km from Molsheim, and 40 km from Obernai.

A true preserved natural area, the Champ du Feu offers a ski domain of approximately 50 hectares. Skiing enthusiasts will find their paradise with 14 marked runs — including a competition piste — suited to all levels.

For those who prefer gentler activities, the resort also offers snowshoe hiking through rolling hills and varied landscapes, between forests and meadows — ideal for a revitalising walk.

Whether heading out with friends or family, the Champ du Feu is a must-visit. Shuttle services also operate from December to March from several surrounding villages, including Barr and Sélestat.
